Dmitry Lisichenko Oil on Canvas “Distant Shores”. Russian Contemporary. This painting was inspired by the Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershoi, who was working at the beginning of the 20th Century. Dmitry Lisichenko attended the Moscow Art Lyceum and MoscowState Academic Art Institute. He worked initially as a restorer, repainting the murals of Moscow Cathedral. Later he developed his current interest in romantic and genre subjects, with their meditative and enigmatic figures. He exhibits in the Medici and Albemarle Galleries in London, amongst other famous galleries across Europe,and his work is collected worldwide.
