Description
A very stylish Art Deco dressing table attributed to Serge Chermayeff, the Artistic Director of Waring & Gillow and co-architect of the iconic modernist De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, England. This piece is of the finest quality evidenced not least by the hand-cut dovetail joints to the drawers, a feature that was becoming rare by the 1930s, circa 1930-39. SOLD
See J C Rogers, ‘Modern English Furniture’ (London, Country Life: 1930) page 77, for pieces to conforming design.
